This June at the PTA National Convention in Cincinnati, OH, NFL Commissioner ROGER GOODELLannounced the creation of the NFL-PTA Back to Sports Partnership.
The Back to Sports initiative will help PTAs across the country educate their communities on youth wellness—from concussion education to NFL PLAY 60 tips on nutrition and staying active.
Back to Sports Nights will help you build excitement in your communities about the start of sports season, while also educating families about youth sports safety. The night will include stations aimed at key health issues including:
• Keeping families active with NFL PLAY 60
• Concussion symptoms and treatment
• Hydration tips
• Proper tackling with Heads Up Football
Commissioner Goodell will be attending one Back to Sports night, so be sure to register your event!
Resources have been created to help plan your school’s Back to Sports Nights and engage families and community leaders in helping kids stay safer and healthier as they play the sports they love.
