Former NFL players take part in PSA for gun reform laws

Since the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Conn., gun control has become a hot topic. From President Barack Obama to the National Rifle Association, a wide range of emotions about guns law have become public.

This weekend, The Associated Press reported that a public service announcement debuted, calling for stricter gun laws. The commercial, sponsored by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, features players such as Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk calling for gun law reforms.

The PSA appears just three months after players estimated that as many as 80 percent of their peers owned guns.
