Brady fined $10K for aggressive slide in playoffs

The NFL has fined New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady $10,000 for an overly aggressive slide in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.

Brady took off on a 7-yard scramble late in the second quarter of New England’s 28-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. As the quarterback slid, his right leg went high into the air, catching Ravens safety Ed Reed in the inner thigh.

Ravens safety Bernard Pollard took exception to the slide, saying Brady “knew what he was doing.” For his part, Reed said he spoke with Brady after the game, and the two players cleared the air.
